• If needed, use a pressure washer or a stiff brush to clean the area thoroughly.

• Plan the layout of the tiles, considering any specific pattern or direction you want them to lay. Measure the area to determine the number of tiles needed.
• Use a straight edge or chalk line to mark guidelines to keep the tiles aligned straight.

• Begin at one corner of the area. Place the first tile in position, ensuring it interlocks properly with the neighboring tile. Check that it’s aligned with your guidelines.
• Continue adding tiles, interlocking each one securely. Use a rubber mallet to gently tap the tiles into place if needed.

• Measure and mark any tiles that need cutting to fit the perimeter or around obstacles like posts or curves.
• Use a handsaw or jigsaw to cut the tiles to the required size and shape. Remember to wear safety goggles and gloves while cutting.

As you approach the edges or boundaries, make sure the last row of tiles fits snugly. You might need to cut some tiles to fit the remaining space.

• Periodically check the alignment of the tiles with a straight edge or by standing back and visually inspecting the layout.
• Use a level to ensure the tiles are even and levelled correctly, especially if your surface is uneven.

• Make any necessary adjustments to the tile placement to ensure a uniform and well-fitted surface.
• Once the tiles are all in place, walk over the entire area to ensure they’re securely interlocked and no edges are loose.
